How to use Kharcha

Track a work expense in under 15 seconds. Everything is manual and private — nothing happens behind your back.

Create your account

Sign up with just an email and password. Your account keeps your expenses synced across devices and you stay logged in for weeks.

Tap + to add an expense

Punch in the amount on the big keypad, pick a category (Cab, Fuel, Meals, Flight, Lodging and more), and optionally add a merchant, note, or payment method.

Tag work vs personal & clients

Mark whether it's a business expense, flag it as billable, and tag a client/project so you can bill or report later.

Add tax, mileage or foreign currency

Optionally record GST/tax amounts, mileage at your own ₹/km rate, or a foreign-currency amount with a manual rate.

See your month at a glance

The home screen shows what you've spent this month against your budget, plus a breakdown by category and client.

Export a clean summary

Create a summary for any date range and export it as CSV or PDF — for your own books, your CA, or to bill a client.

Works offline & installs like an app

Kharcha is a PWA. Add it to your home screen and it opens full-screen and works without a connection — expenses you log on a flight sync the moment you reconnect.
